Amazon Luna, the company’s new gaming platform, is cutting down its library of games. The platform, which was announced in February and is currently in beta, will only feature games that are “new and popular.” This means that older games that have been removed from other platforms like Xbox Live and PlayStation Network will not be available on Amazon Luna. This move comes as no surprise to gamers who have been critical of Amazon’s previous attempts at entering the gaming market. In 2014, Amazon released its own game controller called the Fire TV Game Controller which was met with mixed reviews. Critics argued that it was difficult to use and didn’t offer enough features for gamers. Since then, Amazon has released a number of other gaming-related products including the Echo Show and Echo Spot devices which compete with products from Apple and Google respectively. Amazon has defended its decision to remove older games from Luna by stating that they want to focus on new and popular titles. However, this move may not be well received by gamers who are used to playing older titles on other platforms. ..

Here’s hoping we don’t lose another major game streaming service this year.
