Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 is now available with 12th Gen Core CPUs. This device has been designed to be a powerful and versatile laptop that can handle any task you might need to do. The device has a 12.3-inch display that is perfect for watching movies or browsing the internet. The device also has a fast Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of memory that will make it easy to store your data and use it when you need it.

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 5 is, all-in-all, mostly a spec upgrade from its predecessor, the Surface Laptop 4. Here, we have Intel’s 12th gen CPU lineup — more specifically, a choice between a Core i5-1235U and a Core i7-1255U.

Notably, it’s the first Surface Laptop to be certified as an Intel Evo device, meaning that it meets and exceeds Intel’s strict requirements and that you can expect a smooth experience with great battery life. There are also no AMD Ryzen options here, unlike with the Surface Laptop 4. All you get is Intel, and there’s no choice for an ARM chip like with the Surface Pro 9.

The laptop comes in both 13.5-inch and 15-inch options (with the 15-inch option only coming with an i7). On both, the screen is 3:2, meaning that it’s fairly tall, and great for reading and writing. Other specs include Thunderbolt 4 support, up to 1TB of storage, and up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

The Surface Laptop 5 is available in matte black, sage green, and Alcantara colorways, and it starts at $1,000 for the 13.5-inch version, with prices maxing out at $2,400 for a fully decked-out 15-inch model.
